Essex, New Jersey
Food District (5 sub-boards) Though the times may be desperate, and members of families may be dying, we all have to eat to survive. As much as one might not want to survive in a world that’s captured over Essex, it’s mandatory to stuff your face until you can no longer feel your jaw. There’s many places to pick from, ranging from McDonalds, all the way to fancy restaurants like Brewbakers.

Mall (4 sub-boards) The mall is one of the only places you will ever find Teenagers, Adults, and seniors all mingling willingly. Various stores allow various tasks to be completed, whether you’re shopping for clothing, new accessories, or just looking for a place to pick up someone to talk with. Even with its crude security officers, the mall seems to be one of the hottest places to hang out if you aren’t of legal age to drink.

Beach (2 sub-boards) What’s better than sitting in the warm sand with your love interest and splashing each other with cold water? Almost nothing. The beach is a perfect place to either discover yourself with a special someone, or find that very someone to share some “moments” with. It’s open to anyone and everyone, changing stalls and shower stalls for the surfers, and swimmers, even a few stands available for food and drinks.

Park Ancient oaks, scenting pines and lots of shadow await you in the park. Over day, it’s crammed with chatting mothers and squealing children, joggers and happily running dogs. The few benches there are usually are occupied by one or another couple, either young or retired. Over night, the scenery turns darker; both literarily and figuratively. The trees provide lots of places to hide and attract the wrong type of people.

Hospital As many other modern cities, Essex houses a hospital. The fairly large, dark brick complex doesn’t look appealing, many don’t like visiting it either, yet it forms a crucial part of society. Yellow hallways lead from room to room, from the operation rooms to the reception. Of course, the characteristic hospital smell bothers all around. The wounded, the drugged; basically everyone that’s taken damage in any way is transported here for treatment. The staff is professional - with a few exceptions, and they’ll always do their best to heal their patients. Crammed with the most modern technology, the hospital is a 21st century miracle. All in all, the chance you get out alive is large. But then again - that depends on the case - no.

Snooty Fox Sure, it's fifteen bucks to get in, but after the door fare the night you're having usually seems to pick up in mood rather quickly. The strip club's dancers are the finest in town, married or not, you'll get a lap dance without a complaint. The alcohol is expensive, but there's no id limit. Backrooms for private dances, and lord-only-knows what else.

Lunar Rouge Lunar Rouge is your typical pub, overflowing with beer on tap, pool tables, decent food and entertainment Saturday nights. The waitresses are cheesy, the bouncers slacking, but all in all, if you want to find someone who can take a hit, here would be your best choice.

Forest Covering quite some ground, the forest is large enough for everybody. Just outside the city, it’s spacious and extremely quiet. At some places, the roof of leaves is so thick that it allows through very little or no light at all. Those places are quite dark and timid. Other than that, it’s a friendly place to relax in. Citizens come here to sniff the fresh air, watch the beautiful green scenery or spot some wildlife. You won’t find many predators here (at least not many predatorial animals), just birds and an occasional raccoon. It’s not recommended for very small children: the forest has been kept as natural as possible, which means there are quite some sharp, broken branches that could be dangerous for the littlest ones.
